I facebook therefore I am... Safe?

Needless to say, facebook is a social network utility. Everybody knows that bit. If you don’t facebook you don’t exist. I know you’d say that’s taking things to the extreme.... Let’s put it this way - if you don’t facebook you miss a lot of the current, up-to-date extreme fun & interaction. Don’t you? And therefore you’re a bit ‘less’ social. And less fun. Friends can’t buy you, can’t sell you...they can’t poke you, rank you, comment at your silly status...and can’t scan through all your photos and giggle... (yes, they giggle!!!)

I started to facebook a while ago. Got too many calls and e-mails from offended friends with pending invitation. To be honest, I wasn’t keen to be on facebook after my Hi5 delirious experience. Apparently all my friends regardless of age, sex or orientation got a private message from me saying: ‘Hey Sexy! I’ve been thinking about you. I fancy you and really want to invite you over. Let me know! ’

And guess what?!?! They did let me know!!! Big time!!!

Security breach? Bad joke? Don’t know what it was but caused me months of embarrassment. At that time everybody thought that if you have an antivirus everything it’s safe. And a social network was heaven on earth... Errr, I mean heaven online! Something like that just couldn’t happen and I should admit my sinful desire of dating the whole list.

It’s very interesting how people can get very paranoid about their computers... But when they trust something. They do it fulltime! And now they trust facebook - otherwise they wouldn’t share their entire life story in there.

Just think about how easy it is to spy on a facebooker. It gives me goose-bumps!!
